Harrah's would be very handy. Cherokee / Maggie Valley is a popular tourist attraction for hotels should be no problem.
Asheville, NC / Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is approximately one hour from Cherokee, with tons of hotels in all price ranges.

It is a Comfort Inn in Nice, on the western edge of the Cherrokee I stayed, I think they Pkgs casino.
I lived in a hut in the mountains. If you search the houses for rent, there are many places to rent private landlords, and they are great. Enjoy
